The odd life #1

Being a stay-home dad is odd, out of the norm and often frowned upon.
Why isn't this man out bringing home the bacon? Why did you study so much just to stay at home, clean poopy bums and wipe drool off the floor?

Not even a member of parliament or Army commanders could understand why this man was so odd. They told me I couldn't be odd, every man had to serve their reservist and being a stay-home dad wasn't worthy of a deferment. They came to my house and saw my odd life but told me to report anyway. It wasn't until I was really ready to pack my field pack with diapers and formula and lug the kids along that they realised my kids needed their dad.

This life IS odd. The lines are a blur as with the days. While the wife does the designing and sorts out the production of shoes, the daddy washes the dishes and sterilises the bottles. He works on the website and mummy packs the orders. He pats the baby to sleep countless times a day and teaches his son his letters.

It is a difficult life with A LOT to juggle. A LOT of poop and pee (and smelly eeyores)...
So why did I choose to be odd anyway?
